How Moonsigil Atlas combos use grid space
Moonsigil Atlas has no energy or action points. The limit is physical: a card can be played only while its sigil shape fits on the grid. Every placed card spends some of the space available to the cards that follow.
A sigil is more than its effect text
The developer describes each card through its shape, keywords, and effects. Position can add another layer because synergies may depend on adjacency, overlap, runes, or effects that remain on the grid.
Upgrades can change the geometry
Cards can be reshaped, inscribed with runes, or given new keywords. That means an upgrade may change both what a card does and how it fits beside the rest of the board.
Why empty cells still matter
Because cards remain playable only while they fit, open grid space preserves options. Hostile zones, shifting grids, and Titans that reshape the board can change that space again. The board itself is part of the combo, not just the place where the combo is displayed.
