Vampire Crawlers Crawler Unlock Guide

Last updated: July 2, 2026 Unlock guide Current-build checklist

Use crawler unlocks like a sideboard, not a shopping list. Pick the next recruit by the failure you are trying to fix: early growth, projectile payoff, draw support, recovery, boss control, or gold-route safety. Verify the unlock text in your current build before dedicating a run to one condition.

What this guide helps with

The trap is buying a crawler because the unlock felt hard. That feels rewarding, but it can quietly drain the gold that should have fixed the next run. Treat the roster like a deckbuilder sideboard: every recruit should answer a failure state you can name, not just make the collection screen look better.

If progress slows after recruiting, it usually means the party has more personalities than jobs. Do not chase another favorite yet. First ask what actually killed the last clear attempt: weak early levels, not enough draw, no recovery, poor boss control, or too little damage. The next crawler should cover that hole.

How crawler unlocks should be checked

Most crawler routes are a two-step decision: trigger the unlock through the current achievement or dungeon event, then decide whether the inn cost is worth paying now. Because recruitment costs rise as the roster grows, early gold has real opportunity cost. If a patch changes wording, follow the in-game condition first and use this table for role priority.

Early roles to prioritize

  1. Growth support. Experience and level acceleration help a weak account reach more reward decisions.
  2. Projectile or damage scaling. Extra output can shorten fights before mistakes pile up.
  3. Draw support. Draw is one of the clearest ways to keep combo turns alive, but it needs cracked-card discipline.
  4. Recovery or revive safety. Boss fights and misplayed Turboturns punish greedy parties.

Early crawler notes

Gennaro starts from Knife and brings hand size, Might, and Amount. Imelda leans into Magic Wand, Armor, Attractorb, and growth. Poe starts around Garlic and can force draw after blue cards. Pasqualina brings Runetracer pieces and Area support. Those four names give beginners a clean way to test damage, growth, draw, and area pressure without jumping straight into late-game engines.

Party-building angle

The strongest crawler combinations are less about one hero carrying the run and more about color, draw, and stat triggers reinforcing each other. Pugnala, Giovanna, and Poe are the first trio to study for draw-heavy lines because yellow, purple, and blue triggers can keep the hand moving through a long Turboturn.

Recruiting rule: if gold is tight, unlock roles before favorites. Growth, Amount, draw, and revive safety each solve a different kind of run failure. Before spending, check whether the current tooltip still matches the condition you planned the run around.
