Chivalware Boss Prep Guide
Quick Answer
If a Chivalware boss attempt fails, do not immediately blame damage. First check whether the grid was readable, whether one charged window was saved, and whether your Disk Knight plan solved the same pressure the boss created.
What this guide helps with
Bosses expose route confusion. A room-clear setup can look fine until the boss asks for a specific timing window, safe lane, or control plan. Use this page to decide whether the next fix is grid, weapon, upgrade, or route discipline.
Boss Prep Table
Before You Blame the Build
A boss loss can hide three different problems. The build may be fine but entering the fight with a messy grid. The weapon may be strong but charged at the wrong time. Or the route may have taken upgrades that clear rooms while doing little for the boss. Split those apart before rebuilding.
Pre-Boss Room Rule
The last normal room before a boss should not be treated like a victory lap. Use it to leave the board cleaner than usual, confirm which weapon window you are saving, and avoid taking a greedy upgrade that changes the route right before pressure rises. If the final room costs too much health or closes the lane you wanted, slow down and repair the route before assuming the boss itself is the problem.
Failure Checks
- If you die before using the charged weapon, fix grid control first.
- If you survive but the boss health barely moves, fix the weapon job.
- If every attempt fails differently, simplify the Disk Knight route before choosing more upgrades.
