Chivalware Guides
Chivalware is a tile-matching action roguelite from Regal Pigeon and The Arcade Crew / Dotemu. Its grid turns every match into more than damage: the same move can open an attack lane, charge a weapon disk, answer a shield color, or leave a knight trapped when the board closes. The Steam demo is available now, with full release listed for Q4 2026.

Beginner Guide
Learn the first route habit: keep a readable grid, charge one weapon plan, and avoid chasing every upgrade tag.
GridGrid Control Guide
Use tile matches to open attack lanes, escape lanes, and charge windows instead of filling the board with panic movement.

Choose matches by the attack color they create, avoid wasting the wrong color into shields, and decide when a smaller match is the safer counter.
WeaponsWeapon Disk Charging Guide
Turn weapon choices into charge jobs: quick clear, safe control, boss burst, recovery, or setup support.
Boss prepBoss Prep Guide
Check whether the run is losing to grid clutter, late charge timing, unsafe greed, or a mismatched Disk Knight plan.

The run breaks somewhere
Find the First Bad Turn
Matching tiles, charging weapons, positioning, and attack timing all compete for the same attention. The useful clue is the first turn where the plan stops working—not the final hit that ends the run.
- No safe lane: clear space before building a longer weapon sequence.
- Wrong shield color: preserve the attack color that can actually break protection.
- Late weapon charge: shorten the setup or choose a disk that fits the room's pace.
- Boss collapses the grid: enter with an escape lane instead of spending every match on damage.
- Upgrades pull in different directions: keep the option that fixes the last failed turn.
