Chivalware ยท Official game image
Start Chivalware by choosing the attack you need before you choose the biggest match. The finishing color drives the attack, so a huge match can still waste the turn when the next enemy resists it. Keep one open lane, match for the next threat, then spend the weapon charge when that choice creates a real window.

When Every Match Looks Better Than the Route
The early-route mistake is trying to learn every weapon, upgrade, and Disk Knight at once. Pick one simple job first: safe clear, charge speed, boss damage, or recovery. Then judge every tile move by whether it supports that job.

The grid fills before weapons matter.Prioritize lane cleanup over greedier matches.A readable grid lets you choose when to charge instead of reacting late. You may clear slower if you never cash out damage.
Damage looks good but bosses still punish you.Hold one charged window for the boss pattern instead of spending instantly.Boss pressure usually punishes late or greedy charge timing.Holding too long wastes room-clear tempo.
Every upgrade looks useful.Choose the upgrade that supports the current weapon job.The trap is splitting the run between several upgrade jobs too early.A narrow plan can still miss a strong pivot when the current route changes.
What Did the Last Room Improve?
After each room, ask what actually improved. A good Chivalware room does not only clear enemies; it leaves the grid easier to read, the weapon plan closer to a real cash-out, and the next boss window less scary. If the run only gained random upgrade value, the next room may still collapse under the same pressure.

Can I explain the weapon job?The weapon is for quick clear, control, boss burst, recovery, or setup. The weapon is only there because it looked stronger.Name the job before taking the next upgrade.
Did the match protect a future lane? The next room starts with a visible dodge or charge path. The board is cleaner now but awkward later.Leave one simple lane before greedier matches.
Is the boss window planned? You know which charge or control moment you are saving.Every charge gets spent as soon as it appears.Hold one window once normal rooms are stable.
Read the Match Before You Take It
Before taking a match, ask which color it will finish with and whether it leaves a playable lane. A large match that ends in the wrong color can be worse than a smaller match that answers the next shielded enemy.

A large group is available, but its finishing color does not answer the next shield.Which color will the match produce?Reroute toward the usable color or clear a lane while you look for it.Holding forever until the board clogs and removes every safe match.
The board offers a small answer and a large greedy match. Will the greedy match leave movement and charge space?Take the smaller answer when it keeps the next turn readable.Using safe cleanup every turn after the threat has already passed.
A weapon swap looks exciting. What job is missing: shield answer, clear, burst, or reset?Keep the weapon whose job fixes the next room or boss pressure.Collecting gun, sword, and hammer ideas as if they all belong to one early attempt.
Before the Boss Door
Do not enter with a board that only works if the next match appears perfectly. Leave one lane you can read, know the color you are trying to finish with, and keep one charge decision for the first moment the boss gives you space. If the attempt dies before that moment, repair the board state or shield response before taking another damage pickup.

Room clear is safe but slow. The route has control but no cash-out.Add one weapon-charge payoff before more defense.
Boss attempts start fine then collapse. The build spends charge before the boss window matters.Enter with one planned damage or control window.
Upgrades feel powerful but disconnected. The run has several partial jobs.Choose one Disk Knight job and rebuild around it.
